The village of Miscon is situated in the southeast extreme of the department of the Drôme in the small natural region of low mountain ranges: Diois.

The climate Diois is the transition between the Alps and Provence.

Two big periods marked ,its history:
- The religious wars in XVI ème century left tracks until the environment of the last century.
- The resistance of the years 1943-44 among which stelles or patches in bends of roads call back the memories of this bloody episode.

The village installed in the upstream part of the valley is surrounded with woody mountains which offer numerous possibilities of hikes pedestres and mountain bike.
The fauna is varied and plentiful: roe deers, cervids, wild boars, chamoises, hares...
Initiated can register a multitude of birds and observe a big variety of orthoptères. The flora is also protected.

The economic activity is essentially agricultural: breeding of sheeps, production of cereal, hay, walnut. 80 % of lands are used for the organic farming.

The tourist interet of the village stays the peace, the pure air. We are far from the peaks of pollution. We have in a close beam of the remarkable sites (The Claps, the gorges of Gâts, Archianne, Vercors)
